Noise coming from Wheel area

hey guys, im a newbie here. just bought an 06 Pathfinder last week and I really really like it. Obviously buying a new (new to me) car means Im listening for every little thing. ONe thing I've noticed that's pretty consistent is when I start the car, back out of my space, then put it in drive...within about 10-15 secons there is this noise that sounds very similar to bending/banging sheet metal. You know those metal straps that are all over construction sites, and when you step on them they make a very particular noise, thats what this sounds like. It makes this sound once and thats it. It basically sounds like Im running over something. Its just one quick, annoying noise that happens like clockwork. any suggestions as to what this could be?

Does it come from the front or rear, cv joint maybe? I have at slight metal "tick" sound when I back up, that comes from the rear axle, I think mine is just the cv from where I've got a leaky boot. It's lost alot of grease and I've been too lazy to fix it.

Yeah, I saw that. Mne has that sound when I reach about 15 mph too, that sound is def the ABS, sounds alot like running over something metal in the road. But I diddn't know if what you were talking about occurred at a lower speed, like my other sound

I remember that thread. Mine didn't make the noise when it was new. You can now hear it, but it is not very loud.
