Recall

Postby RoNYC » Fri Oct 08, 2010 12:48 pm

Just to give you guys a heads up, I was due for service today for the first time. When I got to the service center, I was informed that my pathy was part of a recall. Not sure if it involves other years but according to my receipt it is a "BCM configuration." According to the service mgr. it will improve the performance of the vehicle. I am not sure if it is a placebo effect but since delivery day, she seems slow through 1st. But after the service she flies through the gears pretty quick.

Not sure if only 2010s are involved in the recall.

i had gotten a recall notice a couple weeks ago for my 2006 path se.

"This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Nissan has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in a limited number of lower control link service parts for 2005-2010 Pathfinder vehicles. Our reocrds indicate that you own or lease the Nissan vehicle identified by the VIN on the cover of this notice.

If the lower control link on your vehicle was replaced between nov 25, 2009 and may 14, 2010, your vehicle may have one of the affected lower control links in included in this campaign"

anyone else get this one?

Yup got that one, and I mentioned that recall notice. Apparently my pathy is not involve in that recall. But I did not get a letter about the particular recall that was done on my pathy.

there are a few 2010 only bulletins right now;
Control arms
BCM reprogram
Drive shaft
etc. etc.

the dealer is forced to check them next time you're in anyway...
