Projector Headlights

Postby admiral » Sat Nov 27, 2010 8:24 pm

I found this headlights surfing on the Spain sites, http://www.segundamano.es/pontevedra/fa ... a21585722/ It says they are 500 euro witch is 661 US dollars. Does anybody have any contacts in Spain where we can get this cheaper. I know a lot of you guys are not happy with the headlights on the Pathy, and this will improve the lighting they are stock too.

Australia has them too, but they would be no good for Pathys in the US because they drive on the other side of the road.

Just remember....the headlights changed a little in 2008+ PF here in the states. No idea what models these would fit. I would be interested as well if I knew they were the right fit. It would be nice to know they perform better than our OEM here as well.

Umm.... what does headlights have to do with what side of the road you drive on?

The profile on HID lights have a "step" in them so as not to blind oncoming drivers. The step will be on the wrong side in the US

There is at least one thread floating around discussing this same possibility, maybe more. From what I remember, it's a no-go because they won't fit correctly on the US R51. I could be wrong, but nobody here has purchased any since that thread.

You are totally correct sir, we might be able to get British headlights since their headlights can be switched to either side of the road. But Id rather pay Euros than in Pounds.

I had a little more time to check out their website. I like the lights for the wind deflector. What do you guys think?

I don't. But, just a quick look at the lights shown on the recambios link show tabs that are different than ours. The differences are probably slight, but enough that they won't work.

I don't know if it's the same difference....but comparing newer US models....

2008+ compared to 2005-2007

-top mounts about 1/2" wider
-1/2" taller
-Bottom edge corner to corner is 1.5" longer
-Slight different shape in curvature

Does anyone know where I can get these in the US? These are the exact headlights that I want.
