Front driving lamps

Postby schmo9 » Sun Dec 05, 2010 12:20 pm

Thinking of getting some front driving lamps. Are there any free connections for such lamps behind the grill, that will operate on high beam or do I need to wire them in.
My old Vauxhall Frontera had these connections available.

Cheers,

Simon

I was working on putting a set of driving lights in my 07, it looked like there were connections there, not sure what else needs to be hooked up though.

I mounted a pair of Hella's behind my grill. Uses a flat plate between the bolts that hold the lower part of the grill to the bumper. i did replace the factory grills with Grillcraft mesh grills. Then wired direct into the hight beam circut in fues box. No interior switch needed. It looks clean.

I installed a pair of Hellas on mine. Easy to install, and they really provide that extra light you need for rural driving and driving in bad weather.

I will taking sizes and getting material this weekend coming....my rear door handle decided to snap during our spell of -20C weather, so I had to fibre glass that back together that weekend there!!

Gonna go for 1/4" flat bar for strength.

Wow, that looks pretty good. How far does it stick out from the vehicle? Have any side pics?

I installed the lights on the the bull bar. The holes were already pre-cut. the lights sit flush with the bar. More pics to follow of the side of the car so all can see what the bar and lights look like.
