1" rear lift

Postby kidhaulinpathfinder » Sun Dec 19, 2010 11:18 pm

Is there a way to lift the rear only 1/2-1"?
I know some kits claim 1" but are actually double that.

Airlift bags would do that easily. I run mine about 15psi which more than levels the suspension, firms up the ride a bit and lets me hook a light trailer on without adjustment.

This might sound like a silly solution, but when I installed my Airlift 1000 Kit, while it was still on the jacks and not under load, in inflated it and then set it down and I had like a 2" lift. I let some air out and it setteled down to about an inch....

FWIW.

When I first set out to lift my Pathfinder my goal was to get 1 1/2 inches up front and 1" in the rear. (the rear is 1/2 inch taller than the front stock so I thought that would level it out nice)
I was a little disappointed after installing the OME 1" rear springs that gave the rear 2 1/2 inches of lift. I hope to level things out with the Rancho rear spacers. They should drop the rear end 3/4 of an inch by Rancho's claims. (1 3/4 inches total lift in the rear) The 2" really isn't that much once you're all done. I'm hoping to eventually switch to a 265/75R16 tire once my current set wears out. I don't know why there is not any more options for these trucks.
