Control Arm bushing problems

Postby 05Pathfinder » Thu Dec 23, 2010 10:04 pm

I just got the Path before winter and so I just got my new winters installed today. At the same time I figured it would be a good idea to get an alignment and well it was more bad news (ive had enough since buying it).

My rear contral arm bushings are all seized and so the tech couldnt get my rear camber into spec. He tried torching them but it didnt work. He said that after 2-3 years this is very typical with pathfinders. Of course regular removal and greasing would have avoided this and so use this as a warning to everyone to do some maintenance on the bolts asap! Well probably not for you Americans living in the southern states.

He was able to get the front into spec but just barely because some of the bushings up front were seized as well.

So my main question is, does anyone know of a company that sells the bushing seperately because the tech mentioned that nissan only sells the control arm as a whole with the bushings attached?
