My rear storage**finished**

Postby GOTGOO » Tue Jan 04, 2011 11:23 pm

I went ahead and gave this idea a whack. I only took out one rear seat for now and if i decide i need more storage ill build one for the other side. At the moment its not done i still need to carpet it and bolt it to the floor which i already have the stuff to do it i just ran out of day light.

The 2x4 will be bolted to the floor by steel "L" brackets.

Update** Its finished and yes i know the carpet dosent match, but i don't care. I'll get better pics tomorrow.

Nice, Looks good. I will be doing something very similar although I was thinking of using one side for a sub.

Looks great! Simple & effective (and bolted down). I might just have to do this myself when winter is finished. I never even thought about just removing one of the rear seats, which I guess is no surprise since I never use them & they are covered by a Husky tray.

The finished product looks awesome. It looks almost identical to my sub box that I fabd myself and so now I am convinced to do it.

Thanks! You'll have to post some pics of what you build.

How big a sub you putting in it? Just1 or 2?

nice job!

i'll be doing the same with a sub or two one of these days....

do you remember approximately how tall the sides of the box were? i've been too lazy to actually measure mine. i was thinking it was like 4-5 inches?
