Toyota Equivilant (in off road as well)

Postby 07Finder » Sat Jan 29, 2011 7:39 am

Hi all,

I used to be a big Toyota nut, I had a 95 4runner and loved it, got rid of it. Now I have the 07 'finder. I was curious, over seas, is there an equivilant in Nissan for the Toyota Land Cruiser? I figure that the Pathfinder and 4Runner are cousins. I wouldn't think the Armada would be considered the Land Cruiser equal, because it hasn't been out for decades upon decades.

Also to throw in I would like to know what you guys think about the Pathfinders abilities off road. I know the Land Rovers are probably the best and tied for 1st with them would be the Land Cruiser. Toyota 4Runners are good as well. I would think the Finder would be great too. Just wondering if anyone has any true off road experience in the 'finder?

equivalent maybe Patrol ?

for offroading, ive been going sand driving every weekend for the past 3 years with the pathfinder.
its only limitation is the clearance. what it lacks in being nimble, it makes up for in power and torque.

a few pix and videos here:

for proper offroading, bumpers and plastics WILL break and fall off. but hey, who needs all that extra weight anyways ?

In the US? nothing made by Nissan is in the same class as the Land Cruiser. Except this year Nissan brought the Patrol to the US in form of the Infiniti QX56. And the Patrol has been around since 1951, the same as the Land Cruiser, and they are in the same class.
