installing switches in center console by 4x4 dial

Hey all new to the forum and the Pathfinder. I wanted to install 2 switches by the 4x4 dial in the blank spots. if possible can some1 direct me to the correct link or even post some photos of how to do it plz! also the easiest way to get to the battery from there... THANK YOU VERY MUCH

There are a couple of photos on the first page of this thread that show you how to pop off the top of the center console. The switches go with it.

There are a few of hot connections under the dash. The trailer brake controller has one. There is the cigar lighter to the right. There's also a bunch of unused fuses in the fuse box to the right of the lower glove box. My favorite way to the engine compartment is an unused rubber grommet to the right(when looking at it) of the power brake booster. It's easier to see from the engine side as it is hidden under sound deadener on the inside.

I don't have any pictures, but it is easy to find. If you look between the brake power booster and the fender, you will see the main wire harness coming out of the fire wall. Between the harness and the brake booster, very close to the harness, you will see the small 1/2" rubber grommet in the firewall I have used.

I tried to find a good place on the passenger(and battery) side to run the wire thorugh, but couldn't find a real easy place.

ya i just put some time in trying to find a spot by battery... this will be one long wire to wire the light... thank you very much tho!
