Is my '06 LE pre-wired for satellite?

Postby Rick in MN » Mon Sep 05, 2011 8:32 pm

Just bought a really clean '06 LE but it doesn't have XM. I want to keep the stock head unit (Bose 6CD no nav, no sat) - is there a way to add the factory XM receiver or ANY XM receiver to maintain the HU interface? I can only find this one for 08 - up models:

I understand that my '06 may be pre-wired for satellite. How can I tell?

Many thanks,

Rick :(

I would look into a product called isimple.

Hopefully that might help.

Still wondering if I am prewired for satellite? I have a white plug sticking out of a harness under the dash by my left knee. Is this it? According to this:

I can plug it in and go. Anybody familiar with this piece? The guy at that dealership was 'pretty sure' it would go in. If I am indeed prewired, than I should be good.

Thanks[/img]

Sorry, not much help. Mine came with it, so I didn't look into it. Hopefully you can find some help. You might try crutchfield.com and possibly call a tech as they might now. They are very good with car audio.
