HEAT/COOL CUTTING OUT INTERMITTENTLY

2005 PATHFINDER:
HEAT AND AC CUTS IN AND OUT, SOMETIME WORKS FINE, SOMETIMES NOT AT ALL.
BLOWER BLOWS AIR FINE, JUST NOT ALWAYS HEATED OR COOLED.
ANY SUGGESTIONS? COULD BE COLD WINTER....

Wanted to know if you figuered out your problem? My wife's Path is having the same issue.

+1, I would also think that low coolant would only be the heating issue.
