Small mistake...

Postby TnLoneWolf » Sat Dec 31, 2011 3:56 pm

Well guys, I know why my vehicle didn't seem to match everyone else's 2008 Pathfinder SE. Mine is a 2007 Pathfinder SE it's the low book model they didn't make just a plain S model in 2007 mine has the four-speed automatic and the 16 inch aluminum wheels. Oh well, at least the tires will be cheaper! Gas mileage will be the same as long as the Final drive and the fourth gear ratio are the same.

You still have a five-speed auto as that was standard across all Pathfinder models starting in 2005. The difference is in 2008+ the base models have the same shifter as all 2005-2007 models and the SE/SV+ models get the auto mode. For your shifter, D obviously gives you all gears, the button drops you to 4, and then you manually shift down to 3, 2, 1.

I don't have specs on the '07 but the '05 has lower rear-end (3.36) than the '08+. Otherwise the transmission gears are identical. Lots of changes from '07 to '08 though including updated exterior/interior and features/content. Mechanically about the same though. Hope you didn't pay '08 pricing.

My 07 looks just like an 08 "S" model that
I had sitting right next to me on the road
yesterday. The outside does anyway, I saw the single S on the rear...lol

The exterior changes are very subtle. Front bumper is shaped different and the headlights are very very slightly different angle on the corners. Interior dash is different but that's about it as well. I love my 1-ton truck, but it's far from a POS
