Help needed TODAY with trailer brake wiring

Postby Clay350 » Sat Mar 10, 2012 10:31 am

Hey guys,

I cant find for the life of me the connections for the 7 pin connector and where the wires go upfront for the break controller. I have installed brake controllers on a couple vehicles and usually I find a digram somehwere to do this. I am doing my airlift 1000 airbags today and wanted to do my E-brake with 7 pin connector while im doing the air bags. I do not have the Nissan 7 pin kit just a good 7 pin connector. Any help would be appreciated.

Clay,

I was doing my airlift today and found a surprise that the previous owner had done it already for me. He/she also had a 7 pin kit installed. Here is where they connected into the hitch lighting...

You can see he removed the blue wire from the black plug. He then tapped into the 4 pin which is the gray plug and then put in his own 7 pin..

Hope those help. I'll see what I can find for the brake controller up front and post back here for you.

Clay,

Hope these two pictures help. My brake controller is just plugged into this plug underneath the dash...

Hey thanks for the quick reply that did help a lot. Installing airlift right now outside in 60degree weather!

Clay,

Glad those pictures worked for you. Hope you get it all figured out. I've got 60 degree weather here too. Love it.
