Rear roof valence

Postby Gray » Tue Apr 08, 2008 2:03 am

I've noticed that a rear wind deflector is available for the Spanish built PF's but nothing as yet in the North American accessory catalog.

I've seen a couple of local PF's with deflectors...any thoughts as to where to get the current model PF RWD's. Thanks.

Carl will have to chime in on where he got his. I think he installed it himself too.

Thanks Carl, wow a 1.5 mpg hit by putting on a rear air deflector, I guess I won't be getting one of those even if it looks great.

What I was thinking of was more like what are seen on a number of recent models which keep the air flow stable across the top of the rear low pressure zone at the back of the truck, similar to this Murano photo;

I guess when our truck was designed about 4 or 5 years ago at $2 gasoline some of these aerodynamic improvements weren't thought of as important on SUV's.
