Tire rotations?

Postby Gray » Mon Jun 09, 2008 10:13 pm

Just wondering how many do their own tire rotations rather than getting the dealership to help out with that straight forward 1/2 hour job. :) .

I have my calendar marked for the dates I need to bring it to Discount Tire for the rotations. It's only about 1/2 mile from my office & anything that will get me out of the office is good in my book.

I bring my truck to a local garage for most of my service. I only go to a Nissan dealer once a year to get any recalls done to double-check my local garage's work (and vice-versa).

I use Mobile-1 and every 5k miles have the garage change my oil/filter, rotate/balance tires, clean/inspect brakes (they seem to somehow collect sand ), top-off fluids, inspect the engine, drive train, steering and suspension.

All this for $80 and my hands stay clean and I don't have to deal with the slope of my driveway.
