I've thought of taking up fishing. But then I get lazy. ;) I've been working lately on beefing up the state of my front and back yards. Getting tree's in check, strengthening the grass, etc. But I will use corner markers for sure. If I can find where I put them. :-/ The smaller cargo tray came with a set but I'll have to figure out what I'll do with the rears. Most of the time the junk I carry sticks up far enough to guide me. And I try not to drive anywhere populated with one installed.

I've been getting my yard in order also. Of course the black lab has other plans, but at least the wifes flowers are in and she is happy, because we all know that's really what's important. This weekend is time to relax and cook on the grill. Enjoy your fathers day.

Just thinking about it also a great way to install a front bumper protector bar.

Thanks for such a good discussion about front receivers. I took from this conversation and convinced myself that a Curt 31514 would probably also work on my 2010 Pathfinder S.....and it does with no problem.

Apparently the only difference - other than price - in the 31514 and your is the vertical ears on each end of the receiver that take a carriage bolt horizontal thru the frame. I'm planning on a front winch and feel more comfortable with the vertical ear and horizontal bolt.

The Curt 31514 was spec'ed for an 08? Xterra and was as close as I could find for 2010 Pathfinder... I spread the vertical ears about 1/4 inch to make fit up easier. Also removed the air deflector to install the receiver and then cut slits on each side to fit around the receiver mounts. All was much easier for me to do because of this discussion and the photos. thanks guys.

I signed up to say that after searching for a solution for over a month, I finally found the answer in this thread!

I've spoken with a number of reseller, and even someone answering the phone for Curt (at home with her kid crying in the background)

Instead of adding an ARB bumper and cutting my front bumper cover, then carrying around the bumper and winch weight all year, I'm opting for a grille guard and a winch on a receiver cradle so I can put it on the back or the front, and not carry it in the city year around.

Only an hour ago I was back under the front of my 2005 Pathy with lights exploring the under carriage. The post here with pics convinced me this was the right part and something I can tackle in my garage.

THX OP!!

Cheers
