Smoking like crazy

I have a 95 pathy v6 at, and it only has 120k miles on it. It suddenly started smoking super bad, yet it isnt over heating or making any noises that would indicate that the seals or rings are bad or that its about to throw a rod. The smoke is thick and dark and it keeps it from having any power, and will eventually stall out if you try to drive it. Someone told me that it is possible the fuel pump has went out causing it to burn oil, any help would be greatly appreciated!
