Electric Window Stuck Down

Postby Stuz654 » Mon Apr 09, 2012 3:49 pm

My passenger side window will not raise. I removed the door panel and found the problem. The cable that raises and lowers the window rides in a vertical track. The cable is attached to a nylon and metal bracket that is bolted to the bottom of the glass. The nylon on the bracket broke and the cable just goes up and down. Has anyone had this problem? Is the nylon/metal bracket replacable? Does the whole vertical track need to come out? It's all a pain in the a** due to the tight quarters working inside the door.

Thanx in advance!

You need to replace the window regulator. The cable, nylon guides and metal track are all part of the assembly. Front regulators are readily available on the aftermarket, but rear regulators may be a little tougher to find. You may have to get one from Nissan. Yeah, it's tight, but not too bad of a job.

Thanx for the info. I'll find the regulator assembly and get ready to bloody my knuckles replacing the old one! Thanx again. :D
