What does this button do?

Postby SalmonRiverRider » Thu Aug 02, 2012 12:35 pm

Just wondering what the E-AT button does, and also the "sport touring" button next to my hand brake. Also, there seems to be considerable play on either end of my stabilizer bar. Is this something I should be worried about? Do I need to replace the bushings? Or is it just a matter of tightening up the posts? This is regarding a '91 by the way.

"E-AT" buttom changes the way the automatic transmission shifts (economy versus a more aggressive setting). The "Sport/touring" switch is used on models with electronic shocks and changes the dampening effect of the shocks (sport being a harsher setting than touring). You might want to check if you still have electronic shocks on it, as many are replaced with standard shocks due to the high cost of the electronic ones. Electronic shocks will obviously have a wire going to them.
