2003 Pathfinder LE. When the front doors are open, the hold open mechanism does not seem to hold the door open very well. Is there an adjustment of any kind that will keep the door open until you are ready to shut it? Slightest wind or incline and the door will be trying to close.

If the door check is weaker than it should be, then the only thing to do would be to replace it. It's not a hard job, but does require removing the interior door panel from the door.

Is the door check the thin piece attached to the cowl and slides into the door frame?
