Throttle sensitive

Postby LRidge » Thu Nov 06, 2014 10:00 pm

The gas peddle on this vehicle is the most sensitive one I have experienced in a while. Little too sensitive when you come off idle. Is there an adjustment of any kind that can be done?

Would help if we knew what year and engine you have. Any chance your problem is due to a sticking throttle plate? You may need to clean the throttle body out; varnish will build-up inside the housing and cause the plate to stick.

Sorry about that. It is 2003 Pathfinder LE. 3.5 About 135,000 miles. Was one owner and had been serviced regularly. I just purchased short time ago.

Vehicle runs GREAT! Very smooth. You really have to be conscious about your foot on the gas peddle when you take off. It is manageable, but I would like it to be more linear.
