New member/owner! Help me identify this part/accessory

Postby Bruceconant » Sun Apr 19, 2015 1:14 pm

I am the new owner of a 1997 Pathfinder, I sent it straight to the shop for a new clutch so I still haven't gotten to get my hands on it for a good bit of time so I don't know much else about the vehicle. It does not have a step-bar or fender flares, is this a package accessory? How do I get a setup similar to this Pathfinder(Black one with brushguard is not mine)

I know the flares came on them from the factory, not sure about the nerf (step) bars.

The Pathfinder with the grille and running boards looks like an SE or LE trim. The running boards are factory units used on the 96-99 models and are referred to as the "pipe" style, as opposed to the "broad" style which had the foot step all the way down the running board, rather than in two separate sections. They run about $600 each online or over $750 each from your local Nissan dealer. For the cost, you would be better off looking at what the aftermarket has to offer. The other Pathy with the chrome wheels is an XE trim.

You'll do much better with the after market running boards or Nerf Bars. I bought a set of stainless running boards for about 200 dollars on Ebay and replaced the factory originals which were starting to rust on the bottom.
Much better looking too.
