Speed Sensor Removal

Postby Oleschool » Mon Jun 08, 2015 5:43 pm

I broke the wire to the d/s speed sensor and after removing the bolt from the hub,I can't get it out.Any hints on how to remove it with the least amount of pain?

Lots of soaking with rust penetrant and a little luck! It's really a matter of how well it's rusted into the knuckle. On some, I've had to remove the axle and pound it out with a punch. Some have drilled them out. Some have replaced the knuckle. A little careful heating with a torch can be helpful.
