I bought a intake for the 01 patty. problem is there is no bung for the vac hose in the box. do I just splice it in or do I leave it open to air?

dont know much bout 01 but whe i put the cold air intake on my 95 i just drilled holes in the intake and extended the vacuum lines to go in it thats all i really can tell you without seeing it. srry hope it helps.
