Test Driving

I am currently test driving an '02 4x4 with 89k miles on it. The carfax is clean, but I know there has been some paint on the rear of the car and there are no VIN stickers on any panel on the car. Also there is a little bit of rust on the inside of the oil cap. How worried should I be. I am at $8k OTD right now, but am nervous. I have always had Toyota's , but like the Pathfinders alot. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks
