Need Help Finding A 1998 QX4 Bug Shield Hood Deflector

Hi my 1998 QX4 factory hood bug deflector broke today at the car wash, and I called the dealer and they told me they no longer make it.

I can't seem to find one for a 1998 QX4, only for the 2001 & up. I heard that the Pathfinder one fits but what year?

Also what is the best looking one that fits, because I loved mine & it made the truck look mean.

Here is a picture of mine, if theirs one that is similar to mine please point me in the right direction, because all the pictures of the Pathfinder bug shields that are for sale, are stock pictures of other trucks, so I don't know what they look like.

I have been happy with my AVS bug deflector and rain guards on my 04 Pathfinder. Both are identical to the "Nissan" products but not nearly as expensive !

From my knowledge the Pathfinder and Infiniti are virtually the same (a lot of the same parts, few minor cosmetic differences). The 04 was the last year that they used the 50 body style before going to the taller Pathfinder design.

AVS can be found online, check them out !

Here is the photo of the AVS hood deflector. I think it was around $85

That looks good on your truck, but it won't work for me. You have a 99 1/2 & up Pathfinder, and your hood opening comes down on both sides of your grill, which is why the deflector also does the same.

From the pictures I've found of 96-99 Pathfinders on cardomain they don't look all that great just a straight line with no curvatures at all.

Sorry that it isn't the same, even looking at the photos the body styles look almost identical (aside from the colour and few minor cosmetic differences).

If I were you, I would write an email to all these companies and ask for a picture of their product on your model...They should all have that readily available...then you can choose the one that sooth your needs...

Thanks for the list, but I tried calling two of the largest company's two weeks ago, Wade and Lund on the 96-99 Pathfinder and they had no pictures.

I think it's one of the dumbest things I've seen, having a product that changes from vehicle to vehicle with no pictures of them.

Sorry to bring an old post back, but I still have not found a hood bug deflector for my 1998 QX4.

I know the Pathfinder 99 1/2 and up, won't fit my truck but will the 2001 and up QX4 bug hood deflector fit?

They look like they have the same hoods & the same curvature,but I'm not sure.
