New 1999 R50 - a few swap questions

Postby fbcbeer » Wed Oct 06, 2010 5:54 pm

I have a 1999 r50 with chrome accents on the grill and bumpers.

Is there an easy way to convert these parts to all black parts? Is there a demand for the ones with chrome?

Has anyone just painted theirs? Whats the best step?

Also, can you put 2002 bumpers and grills on the 1999's??

You could always try Plasti Dip. I can't stand chrome. I dipped mine and it turned out awesome.

I'm not sure about the bumpers and grills.....

Plasti Dip seems to popular among many in the R51 Pathy crowd.

x2 on the plasti dip.If you ever decide to go back to chrome you just peel it off.I did the grill on my 96.Also did my wheels. It has held up great for 2 years.
