front end pulls to side on acceleration

Postby kickingback99 » Thu Apr 21, 2011 11:40 pm

Need some help of where to look...96 xe 2wd...150K...at speeds above 45 the front end pulls to one side quickly when you push on the gas. Immediately when you take your foot off the pedal the front end moves back in the opposite direction. The faster you go, the more hard the movement. Any help appreciated..

definitely your rear link bushings. This is a typical symptom. These bushings are what attaches the rear differential to the body. So when the bushings starts to have some slack, the diff will move a bit under acceleration , making the truck go in one direction more than straight...

have a look under there.
