High pitch nosie when I come to a stop

Postby mrsuggins » Sun May 15, 2011 4:54 pm

Hello,

I have a '97 Pathfinder SE with 68K miles. I notice latley that when I come to a stop and apply the break i hear a very high pitch noise; like that of ringing in your ears...the high pitch. When I give it a little gas the sound goes away. Not sure if I have a big problem or just a belt.

Has anyone ever experianced this nosie before on their pathfinder?

Thanks

Alternators can squeel when they begin to go bad......
Maybe a pulley somwhere?

Good luck!
