POWER DOOR LOCKS

First time from a NOOB

We have a 2003 Pathfinder LE with 122000 miles. This is the first problem since new. The Alarm started going off intermittantly when all doors were locked. Now I find that when engine is running, and I push the door lock button,the doors lock and then immediatly unlocks all doors. I am not getting a door ajar light when all doors are closed. I have read on this site of other problems with door locks but none like this one. Please, any ideas? Thanks

When the engin is off I can push the door lock button the the doors will lock. It is when the engine is running, in gear or out pushing the botton will lock the doors then immeditaly unlock.

did you try using the passenger door switch with the engine running? or is it just the drivers door switch

Thanks for the response. Good question! I just went out and tried this, and now, THE DOOR LOCKS AREE WORKING PERFECTLY????? I hate electrical problems! Any ideas?

if the locks work fine from the passeneger switch your problem is in your master switch. pop the panel up that holds down the door lock switch and look for any wires with rips or tears. do you have a digital multi meter?

I should have said that BOTH SWITCHES are working properly. I do have a multi meter.
