2002 Nisan Pathfinder ST ignition problems

Hi ,I got a problem with my ignition, the key struggles to turn, it seems the key is either worn or the barrel needs replacement, my question is can I replace it with a second hand one from a wrecking yard or do I need to take it to a Nissan dealer at about five times the price. Will the chip in the key have to be recalibrated?
