Stereo/Thermostat Swap

Not sure if anyone has tried this yet but I have a new head unit on it's way and I'm curious if its possible to swap locations of the stereo and thermostat.

I just really don't like how low the stereo is at the moment and want to have a little bit closer to eye level...

I'm sure I'd need a custom dash plate or at least modify my stock one but I'm not too sure on where to start...

I think you mean 'heater control' not thermostat!
