2001 Pathfinder Crossover pipe coolant leak HELP?

Postby ccg2814 » Sun Sep 09, 2012 7:22 am

I have a 2001 Pathfinder auto, 4x4 that appears to be leaking coolant from the back of the engine dripping down the bell housing. It is now getting bad and I need to fix it. It is coming from the crossover pipe behind the engine. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated before I start. Thanks

There are two gaskets back there that will need to be replaced. Original gasket has been superceded to P/N: 11062-AL501. They MSRP for $2.28 each from Nissan (see link below for parts diagram...refer part code "11026"). It's a real pain because of it's location. Remember reading someone doing this before; I can't remember if they removed just the upper plenum or both the upper plenum and lower intake to access the crossover pipe.
