Transfer case only taking 1.75 quarts?! Help!

I changed my Part time fuild recently and was puzzled by your posting.
So I checked the FSM and yes it list 3 1/8 US quarts as capacity.
My Pathy is stock and sits close to level.
but isn't the fill on the back side, same as mine, so if the back is raised the problem is more fluid not less.
So I think you should check the capacity online to check, TX14A
Then I would fill it to the capacity recommended, this looks more like an Auto box, pump. valve body. solenoids, clutches etc.
Made me glad I have the part time one !!!
