Fork that holds pulley tension bolt is bent

Postby nailliK » Sat Nov 17, 2012 10:20 am

I'm in a bit of a predicament. I changed my belts a few months ago in my 2002 Pathfinder and they just started squeaking a few days ago. So, I put the truck on the lift and noticed that the fork that cradles the tension pulley is bent and the tension bolt was slipping out! Aside from replacing that entire piece, what would be a safe fix? Also, I'm not sure that I have the strength, nor clearance, to hammer it back into place.

Thanks for your help!

Your best bet is to replace it.
