2001 SE 4wd CV Axle replacement

Postby anselwooters » Wed Aug 07, 2013 10:02 pm

Hey guys, I'm a new pathfinder owner and I am hoping to replace both passenger and drivers side cv axles this weekend. In the past I've owned subarus so my nissan knowledge is very minimal. If somebody could write or point me in the direction of a good instructional and list of necessary tools it would be fantastic. Thanks all.

The axles I bought came with instructions. But I am sure some searching may find you something. Its actually pretty easy. A lttile bit of finagling to get them in, but not terrible. Did both of mine in about 4-5 hours.

The ones I have did not come with instructions but I did just order the Haynes manual on my truck so maybe I'll do a write up on here next week when I've got the book on how to do everything.

You can download a pretty good service manual from this site.
The change-out is pretty easy. You need a good snap ring pliers.
