Indifferent to both the after-market sunroof and supercharger, I got basically KBB "Trade In" value.

According to tests I've seen the V8 is .5 seconds quicker on the 0-60 run. That's similar to what I found with a stop-watch when test driving, but I found the V6 was quicker at passing speeds. In fact it was one of the quickest running from 50mph-80mph of any of the vehicles I tested at the time. I can only imagine how quick it could be with a SC...damn well might just run away from the suspension in a hurry!

For off-roading though...the V8 would pay dividends. The V6 appreciates the revs to really get the power down.

I'd believe that. The transmission is a bit too down-shift happy on the freeway for the V8, it almost feels like it accelerates faster with 3/4ths throttle than WOT just to help keep the transmission from shifting out of it's power band.

The V8 also has taller gears so it will be rolling along at lower revs on the highway.

Lookin' good Carl! Looks like you've got the Mocha color? I can't tell how brown it is in that picture. If so it was a limited edition color for the 08 LE's.

Nope, it's the Storm Grey, with a brownish/red leather interior.

I talked a buddy of mine who has a lift in his barn into letting me camp out and wrench all President's Day Weekend, so I'm going crazy at the opportunity to get her battle ready. My To-Do List includes...

Shocks (went ahead and got Bilstien HDs) and Airlift 1000
Brakes (Metal Matrix pads, Stillen SS brake lines, Motul 600 fluid flush, and G2 red caliper paint from tirerack.com)
Rock Sliders (Rocky-Road.com) and Skid Plates (OEM)

So far I am resisting the temptation to just throw down my Visa and spend $2K on a bumper/winch setup...Must Resist...

Tires as I said before I'm thinking BFG AT KOs, however I found some comparison tests online which suggest maybe some Toyo Open Country A/Ts would be better... Thoughts? Anybody have those on their rig?

Carl, I had Toyos Open Country A/T on my 06 Xterra anf then on 06 Pathfinder and found them to be a nice all-around tires, but a bit noisy on the highway. If you don't mind your tires hum, thyen go fo it. BFG A/T is probably not much quieter either from the looks of the thread. Keep us posted with pics on your upcoming projects.

Everyone seems to really like the Duratracs, are they a consideration for you?

I've got the REV02s, but I don't recommend for desert running. Decent enough all around tire, but now that they've worn some, they seem a little less 'grippy'.

I decided to just stick with what worked so well, BFG AT KOs in 285/65-18. Yes that's freaking huge, yes the spec says 8-10" rim while the Pathie's rim is just 18x7.5", and yes I will have to cut/take-off the front mud guards and do some minor heat-gun rework of the front fender liners, yes the truck feels a tick slower than before because of the gearing change, yes the speedo now reads low (70MPH on the dial = GPS confirmed 74MPH), but look at the results!  8)

Very good choice, However you definetly won't be braking (<-- BRAKING HA SEE WHAT I DID THERE?) any speed records with those beasts on their.

Yeah, not only are they larger diameter, but they are 60lbs each!!! Times 4, that's a lot of weight to spin... For the record, according to TireRack.com the OEM tire is 40lbs, so that's an extra 80lbs to spin up and down.
