Radio Static from center console aux outlet.

Hey all, i searched around but did not see anything about this issue i'm having.
i have a 2010 pathy SE bose system. when i use an outlet extender plugged into the center console outlet the radio (regular not satellite) starts to get a lot of static. to the point that you can not listen to it. not sure if it's a ground issue or what, any suggestions?
The other outlets all work fine, no static.
