I have less than 2K miles on my new Pathfinder. The malfunction light (MIL) is on solid.
Per the User Manual I have checked and rechecked the gas filler cap and pushed the reset button.
Is it normal to have this problem on such a new system? Are there any other troubleshooting actions I can take? I really don't want to take it to a dealer already.
Thanks,

The light indicates that the ECM has detected a problem. It's not "normal" for the light to illuminate on a brand new vehicle, but stuff happens. Since you are under warranty, the best thing you can do is take it back to your dealer's service department and have them take care of it. _________________ 2006 Pathfinder LE VQ40DE AWD, aftermarket radiator, Airlift 1000's, Bilstein HD rear shocks, Doug Thorley shortie headers and mid-pipes, Magnaflow 12580 muffler, aFe Momentum GT CAI w/ dry filter, XTP plenum spacer, Superchips Flashpaq tuner |

FYI: I took the Pathfinder to Nissan in Bremerton, WA. The O2 sensor is bad. They will receive a new one in 7 - 10 days.
Thanks for the reply.
