2016-MY15 pathfinder ST

Postby raindi » Tue Dec 06, 2016 1:31 am

Hi,
This Saturday I purchased a new pathfinder ST. On the same day I noticed some thing strange. Wherever I was making 90 degree turn started hearing some sort of flapping sound. Not a hard tapping but soft belt or mat sound from back side near or at the tyre.
Taking the car to the dealer for inspection tomorrow.
I don't hear any sound When I turn slow and smoothly. But, hear the tapping sound when I turn at a reasonable speed.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

I doubt it's anything serious though maybe it's manifold?
I can ask my friend around when I pay him a visit, he is supposed to help me pick a new nissan on DSRLeasing, he is really knowledgeable in this area.

tapping noise

Postby raindi » Thu Jun 15, 2017 5:04 pm

Found the issue.
The tow bar was fit wrongly.
Because of that the gap between the tow bar and muffler was reduced.
This was causing the tapping noise. Tow bar refitted and all ok.
I would have that they would have some sort of foolproofing to ensure the correct orientation.
HMMMM.
Thanks.
