Radflo vs OME: Price justified?

Postby Krymdog » Wed Jun 05, 2019 5:44 pm

A pair of front Radflow coilovers is about $850.
OME strut and spring at all four corners is about $950.

Where is the tradeoff? Longevity? Rebuildability? Is it just in the ride quality?

Anyone?

OK I'll bite.

I bought the Radflos right after I got the Pathy. Quality is good. Ride was very firm (600 lb springs)- I took out my front sway bar and could barely tell the difference!
Anyway, what does "rebuildable" really do for us? Unless you have a spare car you need to keep a 2nd set to drive on while you ship out your first set for however many weeks to be rebuilt, so it's not really a benefit.

Then there's the Raflo clunk. Google it. There is no cure. It's not too loud. It bothers some people, others don't mind. After two years it was like Chinese water torture to me and I yanked the shocks out.

IMHO OMEs would be worth a try. Unless you want my Radflos for half price. In the original boxes even.

Simple
Radflos are adjustable better springs selection if you have a winch bumper

OME springs on Bilstein 5100s would be better.
