Not sure if just mine but the 08 path has a black metal bar frm the seat thats mounted to the floor in the middlw of the 2 compartmets and makes the smaller one a bitch to access (pop the cover off forcefully to open it

But still awesome storage

Based on my 06 pathy, the bar is only in the way then the outboard seat bottom is lifted. You have full access if you lift the middle seat bottom and tip the outboard seat foward. The outboard seat is tipped forward using the latch handle on its back near the shoulder belt anchor on the C pillar. This is described on page 22 of the owners manual on this forum.

Is there a part number for this bin? Felt around that area and there is a deppession three exactly where the pics shows it. I was unable to pull the carpet off though. This would be a nice retro fit.

The '08 is the same. Hopefully Kami didn't break the plastic trying to force the compartment open.

for those of you that don't have one, and are interested in installing an underseat cubby, first make sure that your truck has mounting provisions for it.
the whole assy can be found in Courtesy Parts Catalog on pg 849 (Trunk Room Trimming).
it's listed with the jack compartment, cover, tail gate kick plate, etc.
a very useful feature.

Yeah, I would cut a small slit in the carpet first to see if there is a place for the screw somewhere on the body. If not you could probably use glue or double sided sticky tape. Looks like the major pieces are going to cost about $32.

Box - $13.65
Large Lid - $9.47
Small Lid - $7.49
Bolt - $1.29

Total - $31.90

Optional Parts
Partition - $3.96
Bolt Cap - $2.37

Total - $38.23

Good thing I had jumper cables in my cubby last weekend. Stopped at a rest stop in Delaware to catch a couple zzz's on the way to NY and must have left something on that killed the battery.

Great idea on the trailer hitch. Will do that as soon as wife gets home with the car.

I can't believe I have had my car for 3+ years and never knew this was there. And I put my seats down several times a week. :P
