Looks Good

Postby DaveALave » Fri Mar 22, 2013 6:00 pm

Okay man, I gotta know what you did and how you did it!
Specifically the wheels and the other parts you painted black.
Also the carbon fiber kit for the interior. Where did you get it? how much? and was it a pain in the butt? I've been looking at doing a lot of the "blackened" mods you did as soon as I get back from my deployment. I have already ordered a bunch of little stuff getting ready!

(1) Parts that were painted black includes (a) Rims, (b) Grills only & (c) Yellow was applied on all brakes caliper.

(2) There's no Carbon Fiber Kit available for the Pathy. I just improvised by using a 3M carbon sticker. I though of removing all the glossy (non dark colored) thing that's in the interior of the car. Further, the same has been applied on the backside door handle of the vehicle.

Nice looking truck. Pathfinder of the month candidate for April?

I spoke to couple of graphic shops, looking to get a black Pathfinder logo made or paint my rails, still haven't decide which way to go. I like the black decal on yours. BTW, how did you clean between all the chrome letters? After a road trip, I have coal dust and mud in between all mine and a wash doesn't get it clean.

If you want to nominate this pathy then go ahead :) Thanks in advance :)

I highly suggest for good quality stickers rather than paint, you can play with the colors much easier and even remove it if you dont feel like having it anymore.

Applying a very small amount of rubbing compound and a machine buffer should do the trick in cleaning those area heavily affected by accumulated dust and mud.

Thanks again.

I LOVE THE CF TAPE! Looks insanely good, looks like you spend a good amount of time on that. I really like your cup holder though, I just realized that the 2005 and 2008 cup holder trims are different, mine is just a trim around the top, while yours covers all but the actual cup holder. I might try to replace mine with a 2008.
